High Amniotic Fluid Levels (Polyhydramnios):

Excessive amniotic fluid, known as polyhydramnios, can occur due to factors like gestational diabetes, fetal abnormalities, or multiple pregnancies. Although polyhydramnios is less common, it can lead to complications like premature labor, postpartum hemorrhage, and increased risk of fetal malposition. Regular check-ups and appropriate management are crucial to prevent adverse outcomes.

Diagnosing and Managing Abnormal Amniotic Fluid Levels:

Regular prenatal check-ups, including ultrasound examinations, are essential for monitoring amniotic fluid levels. If any abnormalities are detected, further diagnostic tests may be recommended, such as amniocentesis or fetal monitoring. Depending on the cause and severity, treatment options may include increased fluid intake, medications, or in severe cases, early delivery.
